Cynthia Marlow

Cynthia is a licensed and certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech, Language, and Hearing Association (ASHA). She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a Master’s degree from Texas State University in the same field. Cynthia also holds a post-graduate certification in Dyslexia and Literacy through the University of York in England. Currently, she is a doctoral student at Southern Methodist University earning a degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Development with a superintendent certification. For over 20 years, Cynthia has been working in the field of Speech Pathology and Special Education in cities such as Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin, Monaco, Hong Kong, Switzerland, and Bangkok. Cynthia has been asked to lead, manage, create, and develop Special Education departments throughout Europe and Asia. In 2021, she won district teacher of the year for HPISD given by the Park Cities Learning Difference Association (PCLDA) and a professional achievement award from the district. Cynthia has written six children’s books with her sister-in-law that focus on building self-esteem in students with speech and language impairments.
